Beef Hari KababCut beef into very thin rectangular slices. Heat 1/2 cup of oil and fry sliced onions. Take the onions out of the frying pan and set aside. Now add cardamom, cinnamon, clove, bay leaf, cumin, coriander, black pepper, nutmeg, and mace and stir fry for couple of minutes. Mix all the fried spices and onions in a blender and make a fine paste.

Add the rest of the oil in the pan and stir fry 1/2 cup of onion paste, add ginger and garlic paste, chili powder, and salt and stir fry for 1 minute. Now add beef, stir fry for couple of minutes, add plain yogurt, mix properly, and cook in low heat covering the pan. Add a little bit of warm water. When the beef is cooked (fully tendered) and extra water is evaporated, add the masala paste that you have prepared in the first part, mix properly and stir fry for 5 minutes or more. Beef Hari Kabab is ready when the oil becomes separated from the masala.
