Chicken, skinned – 10-12 pieces
Ginger – 1/2 tsp
Garlic, sliced – 6 cloves
Green Chili, sliced – 2 or more
Red Dried Chili – 2 or more
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Tomato paste – 1/2 cup

Tamarind Juice with Pulp – 1 cup or more
nion paste – 2/3 cup
Onion, sliced – 2
Nutmeg (Joyfol), powdered – 1/2 tsp
Salt – as needed
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Oil – as needed


Chicken with Tamarind and Soy SauceHeat oil in a skillet, add onion paste and little bit of salt, and stir fry for couple of minutes. Add tomato paste and fry for a while. Now add sliced onions, green chilies, sliced garlic, nutmeg, tamarind juice, stir thoroughly and cook in low heat for 5 minutes. Add chicken pieces and mix with the masala properly. Cook in low heat until chicken pieces are tender. You may add little bit of hot water, while cooking. When the chicken is almost done, add soy sauce, sugar, and adjust the seasoning. Add red dried chilies and stir properly. Continue to cook until chicken is fully tender and extra water is dried up.
